Paperback Swap

I LOVE information!!! It makes me feel .... well.... so......INFORMED! And if you're anything like me, you love to read but you don't want to pay full price for books! It may come from having been a single mom, but I cut corners whenever I can. Maybe you can relate. If you haven't heard of paperbackswap.com it might be something you'll find helpful. For free you can sign up as a member and put 9 books that you do not want any longer on your "bookshelf." They need to be in good shape. You automatically get 3 credits. Each credit allows you to order a book of your choice so you can start ordering right away! When someone requests a book that's on your bookshelf you agree to send it to them. You print up the return address, wrap the book, pay for the postage, (the postage amount is on the page with the return address), and you slip it in the mail. When that person receives his or her book, you get another credit! With each credit you can order another book. It doesn't matter if the book's value is $3.99 or $39.99, it still counts as one credit. Books on tape, however, count as 2 credits. If there's a book I don't want to keep, I put it back in the swap. This way there's a constant flow of exchange of information! I just really think it's a cool idea. Currently, I'm waiting for my newest order to come in. A book on .... of course... blogging!
